Returning as an alumni mentor for the Joondalup Innovation Challenge 2024, helping a team of 2 students address the challenge of improving accessibility to, and utilisation rate of public transport in Joondalup.

Roles & Responsibilities

Mentors were responsible for providing guidance and support to the team, as well as facilitating workshops and activities to help the team develop their solution. It was also my responsibility to handle any issues that arose during the competition, including the lack of participation from some team members.

Impact & Outcomes

Ban Lanzona successfully pitched his team's solution, a mobile app called Zug that helps carers support clients with disabilities to travel more independently, and regular commuters to stay on time with real time multimodal transport information.
