Approach
Utilising lean startup and design thinking methodology to validate assumptions and iterate on the business model, we conducted customer interviews, developed prototypes, and refined the pitch despite losing teammates reducing the team size from 8 to 2. The solution was a mobile app called Camplus that helped students with daily life at university, and connect with local businesses and events in Joondalup.
Results & Impact
Successfully pitched to a panel of judges at the program's demo day, leading to the team being awarded first place, as well as the opportunity to pitch to the Mayor of Joondalup and some members of parliament. The Camplus project lead to the creating of the Camplus Australia Pty Ltd company and other prestigious programs over the next two years.
